Breakdown Car Towing Sydney – 24/7 Tilt Tray Help

How Breakdown Car Towing Works

Getting help after a breakdown should be simple. Here’s what happens from the moment you call to the moment your car is dropped off.

1. Call and tell us where you are

Call 0450 350 350 any time, day or night. Have your location, the car’s make and model, and what went wrong ready. A cross street, landmark or motorway exit helps us find you.

2. Get your price and arrival time

We confirm the price on the phone before anything is booked, so you can decide with all the facts. We give you an arrival time on the same call.

3. A tilt tray truck comes to you

Your car is winched onto the tray at a low angle and strapped down. It rides on the tray, not on its wheels, so the wheels and drivetrain aren’t turning on the way.

4. Delivered to the address you choose

Tell us where the car should go: your mechanic, a dealership or your home, anywhere in greater Sydney. We unload it there and you’re done.

Why Choose Sydney Towing Trucks

Breakdown and Emergency Towing in Sydney, 24/7

Breakdowns rarely happen at a good time, and they rarely give warning. That’s why our car breakdown towing service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

Common reasons Sydney drivers call us for a breakdown tow:

  • Engine failure or overheating
  • A flat battery that won’t hold a jump start
  • Transmission or clutch problems
  • Electrical faults
  • Wrong fuel in the tank, or running out of fuel
  • Cars that won’t start, or have stalled in traffic
  • Brake, steering or suspension faults that make the car unsafe to drive

Not sure what’s wrong? You don’t need to diagnose it. Tell us what the car did before it stopped, such as a warning light, a strange noise, smoke or a loss of power, and we’ll work out with you whether it needs a tow.

Searching for a car breakdown towing service near me? We cover all of greater Sydney from our Inner West base. If your car has stopped somewhere dangerous, such as a live traffic lane, our emergency towing service handles urgent call-outs.

Roadside Help Before We Tow

Not every breakdown needs a tow. If the problem is a flat battery, a flat tyre or an empty tank, we may be able to get you going at the roadside. Describe the symptoms when you call and we’ll suggest the right option.

What to Do While You Wait for the Tow Truck

Your safety comes first. Once you’ve called us, these steps help keep you and other drivers safe until the tow truck arrives.

  • Move to a safe spot if the car will still roll: as far left as you can, onto the shoulder, into a side street or a car park.
  • Turn on your hazard lights straight away and leave them on until we arrive. At night, keep your parking lights on as well.
  • On a motorway or busy road, get out on the side away from traffic and wait behind a barrier if there is one.
  • If you can’t get out safely, stay in the car with your seatbelt on.
  • Don’t try roadside repairs next to moving traffic.
  • Keep your phone close so we can reach you if we need directions.
  • If someone is hurt or the car is blocking traffic in a dangerous spot, call Triple Zero (000) first.

While you wait, take out anything you’ll need, such as your wallet, phone charger and documents. Keep the car keys with you so you can hand them over when the truck arrives.

For a fuller checklist, read our guide on what to do if your car breaks down. If the temperature gauge was climbing before the car stopped, our tips on what to do when your car overheats explain how to let the engine cool safely.

How Pricing Works for Breakdown Towing

We confirm your price on the phone before the truck is dispatched. You’ll know the cost before you agree to anything, so there’s no guesswork while you’re stuck at the roadside.

The price depends on a few things:

  • How far your car needs to go
  • The type of vehicle, such as a sedan, 4WD, van or lowered car
  • Where it has stopped, such as a driveway, car park or motorway shoulder
  • The time of day you need us

Give us these details when you call and we’ll quote straight away. If you’d rather have it in writing, use our online quote form.
